Electrical, instrumentation and electronics engineering technologists and technicians contribute valuable expertise in the design, development, testing, production and operation of electrical end electronic equipment and systems for the aviation and aerospace industry.
Technicians assist in the design, development and testing of electrical and electronic components, and make sure products meet all industry specifications. They might also find themselves building and testing prototypes as well as installing and maintaining equipment. Technologists are involved in the design, development and testing of equipment and systems including telecommunications, broadcast recording and audiovisual systems, microelectronic system and circuits, computer, computer systems and networks and computer software.
Education
After successfully completing high school, Electrical or Electronics Technicians and Technologists have to follow one or two year community college or technology institute program. See the College and University section for more information.
