Industrial Technicians and Technologists

Have you ever wondered who puts together the systems that make robotics work? Who sets the standards for safety and health programs?

Industrial Technologists develop and conduct production, inventory and quality assurance programs for the aviation and aerospace industry. They also conduct safety training programs and develop computer applications for the control of robots, numerical control machines and manufacturing processes and operations. Industrial Technicians assist in the design of manufacture and plant layouts and collect and analyze data to support quality assurance, industrial health and safety programs. They also develop manufacturing and processing procedures, set machine and equipment controls and sometimes oversee production and inspect processes.
